Jess,

does she get to see the band, Natural Affinity, in the end?

Catherine

Yes, one whole day in your life. Hopefully, it was a good day.

no, she didnt. after she had been saving money for a while, she saw in the newspaper that the band broke up. she was horrified. but there wasnt really anything she could do to change it, and since she had earned quite a bit of money from her jobs, she bought a few things for herself.

sorry, Jess,

maybe I should have not made you give away the ending but I was curious.

i was thinking of your book today when I was walking my dog.

I remember when I was 7, I had a friend who talked me into roller skates, for my birthday. I did not want them but due to peer pressure, I got them.
two weeks later, my friend moved away, never to be heard from again.

hey catherine,

bummer! did she (or you) know she was moving away? and did you ever use them or like roller skates eventually?

Jess,

No, I did not know my friend was moving.
My knees did not do well with the roller skates.
I have permanent scars to prove my encounters with the roller skates.

Catherine

Thanks for asking.
